UPDATE ON PAVING PROJECT: PG and E has experienced some delays in their construction and there WILL NOT BE any repaving until Friday this week from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM.    Barring any unforeseen delays or issues, the hope is to have the paving fully completed on Friday, but if not, they will need to return next Tuesday because Monday is Veterans Day.  
PG&E anticipates being completed with their pre-construction work by the end of the week, November 9th.This week, from Wednesday the 7th to Friday the 9th, PG&E will be shifting to daytime work for repaving.  This work will happen between 8:00 am - 4:00 pm and they anticipate most work being done on Wednesday and Thursday with the cleanup work on Friday.  PG&E will work to keep higher decibal noises this will create contained to the morning as much as possible.  DPW ha...

As of October 15th, PG&E's work for their gas pipeline replacement project has commenced on the south side of Jefferson Street. Please be aware that PG&E's work requires use of the marked metered space on both Leavenworth and Jefferson Streets. Construction equipment will be stored on the street and  protective coverings will be placed on the sidewalks where any drilling may take place to protect pedestrians. Yesterday PG&E workers starting prepping the area on Jefferson Street in anticipation of the work starting October 15th by putting up signs, a standard operating procedure done prior to construction beginning.  Given the unique situation with the Fleet Week coming up and a high volume of visitors expected over the weekend, they agreed to remove the signs and then put them back up after the busy weekend.   In addition to the signs, you may observe PG&E personnel and trucks in t...

On Wednesday, September 12th, starting at 10am, folks from DPW and the Fisherman’s Wharf CBD will be out along Jefferson Street again to follow up on the outreach from last Friday.   Between 10am and noon or so, staff visit any businesses and properties that we couldn’t get to last week, and will follow up others about the upcoming Jefferson Street Improvement Project.
